Feedback Producer
ApplyYour shift begins at 8:00am – This will give you ample time to coordinate with Bill on whatever pre-work he needs for the program.
Feedback Pre-work:
- Locating and dubbing audio cuts into assigned hot keys for use on the air
- Gathering and preparing notes for scheduled guests and call-ins
- Work with host to determine the best sources for audio and maintain easy access to these sources for future use
- Organize room, test phone screener equipment and ensure that everything is set for a smooth transition from the morning program to feedback
Responsibilities during Feedback:
- Answer and screen all calls – provide relevant detail on the topics the caller would like to cover.
- Keep a log of all callers. Include names, gender and an estimated age range (this report should be returned to John Treese at the end of each program)
- If a caller would like to discuss something random, you may need to assist Bill by doing some high level research and entering any pertinent information into the Telos System to help provide any context needed
- Stay attentive, listen to and stay engaged with the program.
- Make note of any clips or audio that is worthy to include in promos, social media and best of program
- Remain in the studio and be available in the event that the host needs any assistance.
Responsibilities Post Feedback:
- Retrieve feedback audio and edit for podcasting and archiving
- Isolate any clips to be used in social media posts or program promos
- Produce Feedback promos and place into automation for airing rotation
- We should be producing 2 or 3 promos per week with up to date content in addition to running a single generic promo.
- Coordinate with Bill post program to begin planning for the next day’s show
CUT SHEET FORMAT EXAMPLE
For each cut, provide a lead in sentence providing the who, what and when of the clip. In addition you should include the cut number or name, the outcue (the last couple words spoken in the clip) and the total duration of the cut. Below is an example of how this should look.
